Biography

I have a degree in Elementary Education and a Middle School Endorsement from the University of Northern Iowa. Last year, I completed my Master's in Education. It has been my pleasure to be apart of the Brody community for 14 years. I currently teach 7th grade Global Studies. I am a Des Moines native and this summer spent time planning my fall wedding! In my spare time I enjoy friends, family (especially my nephews Nolan and Brody), reading, traveling, and hanging out with Sophie Jo.

Biography

After quite some time working in the biological fields of natural resources and companion animal pharmaceuticals I made the career switch to teaching.  I am excited for my first year teaching at Brody and my second year with Des Moines Public Schools.  I am honored to be the Science Bound teacher at Brody.  I enjoy spending time in the outdoors with my husband Ed and our four children.  Our favorites are campfires, riding bikes, and vacationing.  Our puppy Callie is a constant source of entertainment as well!  I am grateful to be a part of the Brody crew!

Biography

I love math.  I have always enjoyed solving riddles, puzzles, brain teasers and the like; so solving math problems is right up my alley.  I like to share my enthusiasm with my students.  I graduated from Central College with a Math/Computer Science degree and received my Masters in Education from Drake University.  I live south of Des Moines with my awesome math teacher husband and two daughters.  We enjoy "country" living; but as my children say I'm more comfortable at a mall.  My hobbies are scrapbooking and shopping...a lot.  It's a good thing I know how to do the math!
