Athletics

Looking to join a sport?  Check out the different sports pages!  Each page contains information about the sport, meet schedules, and coach contact information.  Remember your student can check out the activities board or check with the student engagement coordinator for more information.

Participation in sports requires a physical form to be filled out each year, as well as sports registration and signed concussion form.

You can get a physical at many places in the metro for free. The Kurtz Building Clinic and the Hoover High School Clinic both provide free physicals to DMPS students. The address for the Kurtz Clinic is 1000 Porter Ave, Des Moines. The address for the Hoover Clinic is 4800 Aurora Ave, Des Moines. Call 242-8488 (ext. 1)  to schedule an appointment at either location.

All student-athletes must be cleared by a doctor to show they are healthy enough to participate in athletics. Completing this physical form with your family physician or at a healthcare clinic and keeping it updated annually will allow your student to join sports teams at Brody.
