New School Hours Beginning in August

Beginning in August, all schools at DMPS will have new hours. The new hours at our school will be 8:30 AM to 3:25 PM. Meet LEGO Larry!

Cohen Chumbley and Avery Blake joined Mrs. Kinman’s FLL team. The team won the Robot Design award for the region. This involves the designing, building, programming, and 5-Minute presentation of the team robot.  He was named Larry. 🙂

Food Drive Delivers More Than 1,000 Items

Congratulations and good work to our students at Brody Middle School. October 23-31, they collected more than 1,000 items for the Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC). A special shout out to Mr. Fritz’s 6th grade homeroom for earning the top collector spot with 200 donated items! Des Moines area food pantries feed thousands of families each year. One in five Polk County kids is food insecure.

Attention: Incoming 7th Grade Students

Before starting 7th grade in the fall, students must meet a new mandatory state vaccination requirement. Students without proof of meningitis vaccination or an exemption will not be allowed to attend classes in the fall. As of Aug. 1, 42% of Brody students do not have the vaccination.
