Beginning in August, all schools at DMPS will have new hours. The new hours at our school will be 8:30 AM to 3:25 PM. Cohen Chumbley and Avery Blake joined Mrs. Kinman’s FLL team. The team won the Robot Design award for the region. This involves the designing, building, programming, and 5-Minute presentation of the team robot. He was named Larry. 🙂

Congratulations and good work to our students at Brody Middle School. October 23-31, they collected more than 1,000 items for the Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC). A special shout out to Mr. Fritz’s 6th grade homeroom for earning the top collector spot with 200 donated items! Des Moines area food pantries feed thousands of families each year. One in five Polk County kids is food insecure.
America Jarillo-Montero and Cohen Chumbley were both selected by their teachers to represent Brody at the Des Moines Optimist Club Youth Appreciation Luncheon in November.
