Start of School Information-Technology, 1st Day, Lunch

Brody Families.

This has been a remarkable summer and Brody is ready to fully engage for the fall.

Technology and materials distribution will happen at Brody on Thursday, September 03.
We will have a “ drive through” set up throughout the day for laptops, chargers and school materials.
Times will be communicated early next week.

On Friday, September 04, Brody teachers will be hosting virtual “Meet the Teacher” conversations.
There will be two opportunities for students during the day to virtually engage with their teachers.
These times will also be communicated by teachers to their students and families next week.

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 08.

Brody student’s virtual school day will start at 8:30 with a check in with their first teacher.
Our school will be structured so that every class has a 30 minute, whole-class component.
This will be followed with a 30 minute enrichment, practice, support opportunity that will be flexible.

The structure of whole class / flexible group allows for greater differentiation.
It will also provide a structured time for students with unique needs and interests.
Teachers will be accessible and coordinating this flexible time.
It also builds in times for students to get up and move and step away from the computer screen.

School wide student lunch break will be 11:45-12:15.

Brody will also be a meal site this fall.
Family meal pick-up will be 11:00-1:00.

We will all figure out this new reality together. Specifics with times will come out next week.
With our students at the center, we will keep working to make the world a better and more peaceful place.
