College, Career and Community (C3) Day

Despite the inclement weather, almost 40 exhibitors, including the Des Moines Fire Department, Bidwell Riverside Center food bank, and DMPS Central Academy programs attended the third annual College, Career and Community (C3) day Wednesday, Feb. 8 in the Brody gymnasium. 750 sixth, seventh and eighth graders took part in home construction demonstrations, signed up for volunteer opportunities and were able to have their hair braided through a local cosmetology school. The C3 provides Brody students with the opportunities to explore myriad experiences as part of the school’s IB World School mission to transform learning into service.
