Mrs. Smothers Sixth-Grade Global Studies

Ms. Smothers sixth-grade global studies students incorporate the IB Learner Profile of “risk taker” to illustrate the 50^th anniversary Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech during the 1963 civil rights march on Washington, DC. The students presented a short program to some of the staff, and then were led into a discussion by Principal Hoffman of what the world would be like if King hadn’t been a risk taker.
