Week 1: We have 12 Mallard duck eggs and 6 domestic duck eggs. The eggs are in an incubator at 99.5% F and are constantly being turned by an electric egg turner. At the end of week 1 we candled the eggs, which is like an egg “ultrasound.” We determined that all 12 Mallard duck eggs were developing and 5 of the 6 domestic duck eggs were developing. We need to make sure that the eggs stay at a constant temperature, are turned daily and have plenty of humidity.
