6th Grade Students learned about the systems of the human body. Students were able to identify internal anatomical similarities and differences between the pig and human.
The first annual Des Moines 21st Century Community Learning Centers Makers Convention featured nearly 300 students from 9 schools, including Brody. The students presented their work with food, robotics, photography, music and everything in between. Click on the image to see more photos of the event.
The Rotary Club of Des Moines presented Amelia Kissell with a plaque, $1,000 and a commemorative clock for her hard work and dedication. She was one of four recipients of the club’s “2014 Educator of the Year” award. To read more, click on her picture!
